Alumni Focus

We are pleased to spotlight two UMMC residency alumni, Drs. Lauren (Craig) McKelroy and Anna Wile.

Since graduating from UMMC residency in 2017, Dr. McKelroy has been in private practice in Washington, DC. She has expanded her cosmetic practice, while also continuing to enjoy medical and pediatric dermatology. She lives in Virginia with her husband Peter (whom she met in her last year of residency in Jackson), their almost one year old daughter, Emilia, and golden retriever, Margot. Outside of work, Dr. McKelroy spends her time making fun memories with her family, traveling, searching for the best food in the region and practicing yoga. While happy to be in her home state, she misses The South and is raising Emilia to be an Ole Miss fan.

Dr. Wile has returned to her hometown of Meridian, MS where she enjoys a busy general dermatology practice at Rush Health Systems.  She has a varied practice ranging from complex medical dermatology, including inpatient consults, to pediatrics and skin cancer.  She and her husband Daniel welcomed their first child, Joann, last October.  Dr. Wile still enjoys triathlons, a hobby she picked up during residency, and finds running even more exciting and challenging now that it requires also pushing a stroller.
